Learn Spanish, French, Italian, German, and many more languages with Babbel. Developed by a team of language learning experts, Babbel has helped millions of people speak a new language with confidence. THE BABBEL METHOD Here’s what makes Babbel more effective than any other language learning app: 1. Confidence — Our goal is to get you speaking from your very first lesson. And our elegantly designed courses give you the confidence to get there. We teach you how to engage in practical, everyday conversations, making it easier for you to have authentic experiences in your new language. 2. Comprehension — Our lessons immerse you in relevant culture and real-life conversations. We want you to really take in the language, not just memorize useless phrases. And we provide helpful hints in English (or your native language) to make your new language more relatable. 3. Retention — We know you’re busy. That’s why our lessons are short but sweet: about 10-15 minutes, and designed to send your new language straight to long-term memory. We regularly refresh your memory with our dynamic review sessions, which target areas where you need improvement most. Finally, we make sure you really grasp what you’re learning by bringing it back later in a new context. • You have to purchase:/

This app is super great and you can tell by the first lesson that you will probably learn a lot but then you have to pay for the next lessons and it’s pretty expensive☹️ Too bad though I was looking forward to using it
  • I must learn

    By Love houz
I am an older student and find going over lessons in repetition is the only way I can learn. For me it would be easier if the lesson would repeat my mistakes.
  • Ehhhh... good but

    By Artic_Pig
I’m young and I want to learn Spanish. So I do the first lesson and what pops up? A thing saying I need to subscribe to continue. Now I would but it costs money and that’s why I gave it a 4 star. I know they need to make money but why not do something else than make you pay for a class seriously! It’s better than doulingo I’m my opinion though.

  • Jumping Ahead

At first, I really liked this app. But then, suddenly I was thrown into complete sentences. What happened? Why the sudden jump?
  • Great!!

Babbel goes so much more in depth than other language learning apps. It tells you why things are the way they are instead of just making you memorize.
  • Adobe flash??

    By CWM123
Says to download adobe flash for “best experience”. Not on an iPhone! Also, just logged in for 3rd time and am asked for password each time. Too difficult.
  • REHS

The free version of this app is great but now I’m being charged for an app that does not function properly. I need a refund.
  • Very easy to learn

I have been studying Italian with Babbel and it has proven to be effective if, like in everything, we study and practice in a consistent manner .....and in this case we just need to do it a few minutes a day. I was in Italy this past summer and I was able to communicate with the locals everywhere. It was a fulfilling experience:-)
