  • Better than the competition.

So far way better than any of the competitors, if any, I have bought a total of five different chromecasts and they get the job done.
  • 80% of the time, devices don’t display

Get ready for untold frustration when linking more than one Google device. The app is flawed, Google knows it and is very slow and coming up with a fix. If you are not technical or had some experience with networking, computer issues or the like, then you will be frustrated if wanting to connect and use more than one Google Home, Mini, Max. I have a Google Home, Google Home Max, 2 Mini’s. If they would just display in the app I would be fine, but the devices have a very weak connectivity to the network. I can sit 30’ away from some of the devices and they will not display in the app, but the other’s will. If I move closer to the Router and devices, then they show up in the app but then I lose the others. I’ve probably worn out the devices since I have rebooted them so many times. There is a strong learning curve and typically the longer you struggle the more you learn increasing the number of times you factory reset all devices and start over. Even so, the App is flawed. Maybe someday Google will get their act together.

What a great app for the kids room and guest room. No need for cable box and all expenses associated with it. Everyone has a smart phone these days.
  • Frustrating app

This garbage app doesn’t help do anything
  • Unreliable

The Android app is much better. The iPhone app frequently loses track of linked devices.
  • Obnoxious - Avoid.

Received as a gift. When all grossly invasive spyware is turned off, device ceases to function, just repeatedly telling you to adjust settings. Your smartphone is invasive enough, this is just a product to sell you more products, willfully or not.
