  • Interactive cases

    By Hanad19
As many have mentioned previously, it's been years and there is still no interactive medical cases on the iPad app. It makes one wonder whether they have entirely abandoned any significant attempts at improvement instead making this a compliance app to advertise on their website. Come on NEJM, listen to your subscription base!
  • What's the benefit over just going to the website?

    By BobbGWhiz
This app works mostly fine, but I'm not sure what the benefit is over just going to the NEJM website. If you want to do CME, this app directs you to the website anyway. Also this app still can't handle interactive medical cases. In fact it doesn't mention those cases on the app version. Therefore you can lose out on the benefit of the education and not even know unless you check your paper-based journal or go to the website itself. It's been years and they haven't addressed these problems. Addendum: Years later, interactive cases are still not available for this app. Step up your game and get better reviews.
  • Terrible app. Are we in 2007?

Aesthetically outdated, functionally limited, it even has ads. Videos won't even play.
  • Never works

    By svalent1
Honestly worst app I've downloaded. Whenever I try to download a new journal it always says "waiting". Never actually downloads. What a waste of money I wish I stayed with the paper subscription. I've contacted them about and they don't really answer either.
  • Disappointed

It is great to read the Journal on my iPad, but why do I need to download the entire issue? I would prefer to download only the articles I want to read.
  • Worthless

I would give it no stars if I could. They charge $14.99 each month for the privilege of having the opportunity to buy the monthly issues for $5.99.
  • It's really bad if I'm writing this...

    By Working Mama Doc
I hardly ever take time from a busy schedule to write a review but I am now. Wow, I really can't believe how bad this app is, it started out great but for over a year now 2013 or 2012 to present it more than stinks. It doesn't work! Great journal but don't bother with the app as it appears that no one is out there paying attention.
  • Agree, it's not working

Used to be a valuable app, now only small parts of it work. Too bad--not good for such a journal.
  • Crappy

Very crappy application for outstanding journal!!!!
  • Ok but could use some work

2 thoughts. 1. Night reader mode - most reading apps have this feature, so why not NEJM. 2. Remember the article I was reading when reopening the app. It doesnt make sense that I have to navigate back to the same article upon opening the app again.
