  • One Missing Thing!

Love pretty much all aspects of this app, but as much as I want to rate it with a full 5 stars, I’m only giving 4 due to lack of ability to access files outside of Google docs. Don’t know how many times I’ve had to switch from phone to computer while composing an email due to not being able to get to iCloud/Files folders. Also, for the “Recent attachments” that do show up, it would be extremely helpful to have a preview feature for those, since there've been numerous times I’ve accidentally sent an outdated file thinking it was the current version, since they’d have the same name. These two improvements would be life changing!

I tried sharing an article I was reading in Safari using the share extension but Gmail no longer auto-completes the recipients using my contacts.
  • Extremely counterintuitive

Please add a way to delete/update individual emails instead of entire convos. Still not implemented after all this time.

why make an app complicated? not user friendly and unfortunately logout is hidden from sight so user has to leave app on.. very unsafe for android devices...google just keeps getting worst...Note DON’T install this app use direct from phone only in apple products...

Can't copy or save images out of an email (Seriously!). Can't copy forwarded text out of an email. Just pathetically amateurish. One of those rewrites where they cut useful features and add nothing but annoying space-wasting UI decorations. Latest stupid idea: An old email thread just reappeared at the top of my inbox with bold orange text on it saying “Received 2 days ago. Reply?” I can’t figure out how to make it go away other than by archiving the email. I have a lot of emails I haven’t replied to. Why is it panicking about that one in particular, and no other? This app was designed by toddlers.
  • Google trying to be Apple

Gmail used to be a convenient service. If I want to do something I could do it. Now I guess Google is trying to copy Apple and over-streamline everything. Guess what Google-if I needed that I can use Apple services. What kind of mail app doesn’t have the option to delete all mail. Sounds like something Apple would do. But no, it’s Gmail
