This version makes notability unusable. Now if a note is made on your iPad, and notability is closed the notes that were made on your device will *disappear* and will not re-open until *synced/downloaded* with the iCloud despite being made on the device. This is *hugely* inconvenient to not have access to my information on a platform I’ve started to rely on. Please fix ASAP
  • Best Note App

I think this is hands down the best note taking app. It is decently priced and packs a ton of useful features. The layout is sleek, and easy to use. The the pen really flows nicely and when using with an Apple Pencil, it almost fells like writing on real paper. Despite this being the best app, there are a few things that could be improved. A way to search note content would be nice especially when using PDFs. Along with that, handwriting recognition would also be great but it’s not as important. It would also be nice to have a two finger double tap to undo. While there is a button in the toolbar, it is cumbersome to use and really interrupts the flow of writing. The last feature that would be cool is some kind of infinite canvas that you could just keep panning around similar to how the Concepts app works.

I am so disappointed and unsatisfied with this app. I wish I could get a refund.
  • BEST APP! (one minor suggestion)

I have used Notability for almost 2 years now and it is by far the best note taking app on the market! Although I have one main suggestion that would be extremely useful, which would be the ability to organize notes within a divided folder. There so many times that I would like to be able to organize notes into subcategories like homework or lecture notes for lecture slides from a subject that would be a class for example. I think this additional feature would help out a lot of your note taking users, thanks much for the awesome app!

I have been using Notability for quite a while now and have had very few problems with it. The only element of Notability that needs a touch up in particular is the ability to draw perfect circles.
  • Undo support is weak

When you make a mistake you have to move your hand all the way to the top of the screen (about 12”) hit undo several times and possibly move your arm to see if you have undone the correct amount of times. Alternatively change to the eraser tool swipe over your sentence and then move your arm 12” up and change back to the pen tool. I’m suggesting a simple two finger tap to undo or hold your finger(s) and swipe to erase words with Apple Pencil. This may seem minor, but I like to get my ideas down quickly and with as little movement as possible.
  • Great but not there yet

This app is great smooth and easy, and also it is the best app for taking notes in IOS. But I have used another app called “Lecture Notes” in Android, that app is such amazing that you could literally compare it to any Microsoft office apps. It has by far far more helpful tools for students and business people than Notability does. Notability need to open this app and try to learn from it. It makes switching from android to IOS very hard, just because you want to keep using it.

I’m really happy with this app so far. The palm rejection is flawless with my Apple Pencil and the drawing tools are intuitive. As far as I can tell, it’s impossible to name recordings other than the default “recording 1.’ I’d love to see this changed in a future update.

I like how it has features the iphone notes does not have. However something as simple as "search" it does not have. I would like to search through my notes for a key word but the app does not have that feature.
