Was walking and the mikes jumped from 2 miles to 8.5 miles and then 15.33 miles. I don’t walk as often as I should, but I’m a geek when I do. I like to know how far I’ve walked or hiked. I like to see the design it makes! Lol. Was sad about the miles this day.

I just got back from a 1:10 walk that covered 1.8 miles. This app informed me I’d spent 35 minutes and walked less than a mile, although I started it when I left. Not the first time this happened. Utterly random and inaccurate.

  • App on phone is great...on Apple Watch not so much

I really like my MapMyWalk app on my phone so I was thrilled when I recently got the notification the app now worked on my watch. There were some kinks...at first it wasn’t syncing with the phone so it appeared I’d done two workouts. The data wasn’t the same between the two platforms. But it was workable. All of a sudden the app on the watch is cutting out during my walk. I look at my watch and it’s back to the watch face. If I hit the icon it wants to start over and that’s IF it will even open. Most times it does nothing. Really disappointing as it’s so much more convenient to look at my wrist than dig my phone out of the pouch to check time or distance.

Beyond the stats—distance, time, calories, speed—my fave part of Map My Walk is the map of every walk, whether through Central Park, along the shores of OBX, or in Disney’s Pandora.
  • Dashboard postings a week late

The app has been posting some of my Saturday walks a week later on the Dashboard view. It also gives me an "application error" in the first mile and won't track my map. I'm close to deleting the app and my years of history. Very disappointing.
