Description

SplashID is the world's most trusted password storage system. For over 12 years, over one million users have kept their passwords safe with SplashID - and now it gets even better with an all-new version. Think of SplashID as your personal vault or digital wallet on the iPhone or iPad. You can store and lock sensitive information - not just usernames and passwords but credit card data, account numbers, registration codes, prescriptions, and much more. Keeping your usernames, passwords, and bank account numbers in your head, on a Word or Excel file, or written on a piece of paper is unsafe. Passwords can be forgotten; laptops can be lost. With SplashID, your data is easily and quickly accessible, reliably stored, and - most importantly - secure. Only SplashID offers: - Access: Free, native, secure apps for mobile, desktop, web, and browser - Choice of sync and storage: You decide how to store and sync your records with convenient cloud sync, local network Wi-Fi sync, or on-device storage - Touch ID login - Customizable record types and categories keep information organized - Photo capture feature quickly and easily stores credit card information - File attachments: upload photos, documents, and add notes to any record for reference - Protection features include 256-bit encryption and 2-factor authentication - Secure sharing: Safely share records with other SplashID users or even those who don’t use SplashID - Automatic SplashID Backup service to ensure data never gets lost - Security dashboard provides usage statistics and tools to monitor and fix weak, reused, and old passwords - Web autofill saves typing in usernames, passwords, and delivers the correct address from the secure data vault every time to prevent phishing - SplashID extension available for autofill in Safari Lock your personal information up in a state-of-the-art data saver and feel comfortable knowing that at any time you can access private information safely. No other password app delivers SplashID's combination of features, reliability, and security. • Cloud Sync hasn’t worked all year

I’ve used this app for many years and when the new fee structure came out, I opted for the cloud sync....only it hasn’t and doesn’t actually sync. Each of my devices and the online version have a differing number of records, which was discovered and reported. Nothing was done. It has been reported again. Interestingly, when I opened the online backup, the number of records contained is different from what it indicates....so I can’t even do a restore, because there are too many missing files. There is no ability to force sync, because it is supposed to be syncing with every change. I’ve been paying for service that doesn’t work and they haven’t fixed despite being reported.
  • Bait and switch business practice.

I purchased the full version of SplashID before they started to push a new subscription model. I used to be able to export records and email them to myself as a backup. Now they've removed that functionality from my paid version, and the only way to continue exporting my records (as I have done for 2 years) is to pay them an additional $20/year. What a complete scam. I'm appalled at this bait and switch from the company. They've screwed us once. I'd be an idiot to reward them by paying more money.
  • Terrible—Do NOT start up with them.

By far the worst customer service. They fail miserably to keep track of my payments to them. I just purchased lifetime agreement $19, my third “lifetime” agreement. I’m a long term customer, and I feel bent over. They threaten you that you won’t have access if you don’t repay again. You email them you already did, there’s no action on the other side. The only thing keeping me with them is that my life is too busy. As soon as I have a free 15-20 hours, I go another way, but I don’t have the time to retype all my data into a different app. They GOT me! Stay sane, stay away from SplashID!
  • Data Held Hostage

I’ve used this app since its beginning as a Palm Pilot app (10+ years). Recently I needed some info and the app wouldn’t open to my data unless I paid for a pro subscription. I’m happy to pay for good apps, and I do all the time. But I’m not happy being held hostage and won’t pay a $20 annual subscription. I gave it two stars because it did work for me for such a long time. And, if you don’t mind paying for a $20 annual subscription, then it may be an okay app for you. Personally, I’ve dumped the app.
  • I, too, experience crashes

I have been a long time user of Splashid and am considering looking for another password app. It seems to have quirks I have never experienced before. I think the creators should go through the app to see how the interface can be improved.
  • Used to be my Favorite App

I don’t remember when I first started using this app, but surely 15 years or more, possibly 20. I had a Palm Pilot...installed this app. I added an Apple Touch...installed this app. I put it on my PC. I put it on my iPad mini, now my 2nd iPad Pro. I put it on my Android phones. Then, you added Cloud data. Everything will be so much easier, now. No! No it wasn’t. In 2 decades of local web I didn’t run into the nightmares I have now. If a device got corrupted, I merely deleted the app, reinstalled, and re-synced my data. Now, however, the corrupted data gets uploaded to the Cloud, then broadcast across all of my devices. It’s reached the point now that all of my devices crash...except my new iPad Pro. This is the only device where I can use my password database. I used to have roughly 800 separate items, categorized and iconized. After each device electing to upload, corrupt, and alter my data fields and data, I still have 2,400 exactly. This, after 3 solid months of deleting, fixing, recategorizing, and reiconizing data elements. At this rate it may take 3 years to completely clean my database, so I can then reattempt to install SplashID onto the rest of my PAID for devices. I’d give it One star, but now that my iPad is stable, albeit crowded with CRAP, it works for what I need it to work. If I had a way to import all of my good data into a different app....I’d do it. Don’t expect me to recommend this nightmare app to anyone else.
  • Update.

I think they’ve finally realized that I’ve been able to use the app on my iphone and despite having paid for it, they have locked me out of that app as well. tl;dr. Paid for the app for life, they decided they wanted me to start paying a subscription and I refused so they locked me out from ever using it.
  • Latest update doesn’t work

After latest update, the opening screen shows and then 20 seconds later (or so) the app crashes. Makes it useless.

The app is great when it works. It freezers consistently. Even after I purchased the Pro version.
