SplashID is the world's most trusted password storage system. For over 12 years, over one million users have kept their passwords safe with SplashID - and now it gets even better with an all-new version. Think of SplashID as your personal vault or digital wallet on the iPhone or iPad. You can store and lock sensitive information - not just usernames and passwords but credit card data, account numbers, registration codes, prescriptions, and much more. Keeping your usernames, passwords, and bank account numbers in your head, on a Word or Excel file, or written on a piece of paper is unsafe. Passwords can be forgotten; laptops can be lost. With SplashID, your data is easily and quickly accessible, reliably stored, and - most importantly - secure. Only SplashID offers: - Access: Free, native, secure apps for mobile, desktop, web, and browser - Choice of sync and storage: You decide how to store and sync your records with convenient cloud sync, local network Wi-Fi sync, or on-device storage - Touch ID login - Customizable record types and categories keep information organized - Photo capture feature quickly and easily stores credit card information - File attachments: upload photos, documents, and add notes to any record for reference - Protection features include 256-bit encryption and 2-factor authentication - Secure sharing: Safely share records with other SplashID users or even those who don’t use SplashID - Automatic SplashID Backup service to ensure data never gets lost - Security dashboard provides usage statistics and tools to monitor and fix weak, reused, and old passwords - Web autofill saves typing in usernames, passwords, and delivers the correct address from the secure data vault every time to prevent phishing - SplashID extension available for autofill in Safari Lock your personal information up in a state-of-the-art data saver and feel comfortable knowing that at any time you can access private information safely. No other password app delivers SplashID's combination of features, reliability, and security. • The best and last password keeper you will ever buy

    By Biffer428
SplashID is probably the best password and credential manager there is. I was an early adopter of SplashID back in the day and could not be more pleased. Just like any app it has had its issues over the years but they have responded to feedback and fixed the issues. If you are considering making the purchase I would highly recommend doing so, just disregard most of the negative 1 star reviews from the early days.
  • it’s good but still a little buggy

    By HoserSmoser
I have been this program for number of years and find it satisfactory, but even in its current version 8.x it still a little buggy. from time to time I will lose the entire database of passwords from my iPhone sometimes when opened on the iPhone it does not allow me to use touch ID.
  • Time to trash this App!!

    By TW.az
I have used this app for several years and it’s only in the last 2-3 yrs, that I have become extremely frustrated with it. Passwords disappear - many passwords don’t transfer to new devices - purchase of “Lifetime” is a joke and keep getting requests to purchase after I have paid the and yet to receive “Lifetime” access. There was a time I told everyone I came in contact with, to buy this App. I WOULD NOT recommend this App.
  • Changed my review from 1 to 4 stars

[Update: After hours of diagnosing and research, I found that my network profile in Windows 10 changed from private to public, which blocked the desktop program from accepting a connection from the app on my phone. Merely turning off the firewall did not solve the problem. Verifying that your network profile is private in Win10 should be on the troubleshooting steps. Once I did this, everything sync-ed and my data was back.] I’ve been a long time proponent of SplashID (I have records from at least 2009) and influenced its purchase for a number of people. Unfortunately, the developer’s drive for cloud revenue weakens the WiFi support. Ensuring the app is open, the WiFi is on and subnets are the same only takes a user so far. My iPhone X SplashID data disappeared today during a sync.

I have been a happy user for over 10 years, but my paid-for version is not cloud based. I’m fine with what I have been using and love it. So why am I constantly being told my subscription is expired? I never subscribed....

This is an update to my last review. After talking with their customer support, they were able to resolve the problem to my satisfaction.
  • Been using for over 5 years

Very good and my life depends on this app really but still has some Annoying glitches - mostly sync problems from platform to platform where one or more records just don’t show up on the other device - despite all kinds of attempts like duplicating and deleting (and yes setting are correct). Also the nice customs icons get changed on some records for no apparent reason- or I’ll get an airplane icon a credit card file out of the blue

Luckily most of my passwords are still available. But the latest thing is all the icons are mixed up and the category titles are wrong. It even made some duplicate entries. Definitely looking for something better.
  • Testing my loyalty

    By RogerB in PA
I’ve been a loyal Splash ID user since my Palm Pilot day’s. Now syncing between iPhone 6 and MacOS desktop. Today, sync is crashing every time. NOTHING has changed—all apps, iOS, macOS are current. FIX IT.
