Update 1/20/18: As the saying goes, insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Foolishly, I did yet another update but still no way to restore my original purchase to make it ad-free. I don’t play the game at all anymore just because of the obnoxious ads. It’s still installed and I let it do updates in case the developers actually read a negative review and then do something to fix it. I seriously doubt it. Will likely just uninstall it eventually and save myself the irritation of being ignored. Update 12/21/17: That’s it, I’m done with this game until such time as Zynga recognizes my previous ad-free purchase. Between the sheer number of repeating ads and the inability in some cases to silence the accompanying audio, it’s just not worth my time to play the game. Absolutely ridiculous. They will tell you all you have to do is log in to get the ad-free feature. Wrong. Save your sanity. Find another game. Another update: Like a fool I downloaded the latest update today (12/12/17), hoping they’d found a magical way to restore the purchase info so the ads would stop, but no. They have, though, added a great feature that drops in an ad BEFORE you play your word so that, I suppose, the ad that plays AFTER you play your word won’t get lonely. I guess that makes us, the paying customers, the filling in an Oreo cookie. How nice. Update: I saw there was an update today (11/29/17) and fully expected I could change my 1 star to a 5, but sadly, no. There’s still no way to restore my purchase info from the original Words Pro so I’m still hit with ads every time I submit a word. What’s even more obnoxious is I get hit with an ad when I pass my turn or swap letters. You’d think they’d toss you a bone and let it be ad-free when you can’t form a word. Original review below. I upgraded to an iPhone 7 with iOS 11 and due to how things migrated from my iPhone 5, my original Words Pro gave an error message that it won’t work with iOS 11. It gave a link where to get the updated version. The link said it wasn’t available in the US App Store but was in the Canadian Store, however another message said, sorry, that site is unavailable. I wrote to Zynga and got an automated response that said basically nothing of any value. In frustration, I downloaded Words 2. It works with iOS 11 and recognizes me and who I play with. Unfortunately, after EVERY word submission an ad pops up. There is no way to get Words 2 to restore your original purchase so the ads stop. I’ve since written two more times to Zynga and the last response was, yeah, there’s no way to do the restore right now but, hey, thanks for playing! Are you serious? Wouldn’t you think that’d be the first line of code you’d write? You know, the line that acknowledges a paid user? Save yourself the grief and hold off getting this version, or better, find a different word game from a different company.
  • I love this game.

    By ahah5150
I play this everyday with my mother. It’s great to still be able to connect with her even when I’m older and moved out. I don’t play with others. Just my mom. But I look forward to it every night before bed we both play for about 30 mins. My only complaint is I wish I could block people. There are some who keep sending me requests and I don’t want to play with them.
  • Freaking reward pop ups and other crap

    By John Klassa
I paid for the app, but still get ridiculous “reward” pop ups and other crap that gets in the way. JUST LET ME PLAY THE FREAKING GAME.
  • Rewards

    By Susankarenblue
When the rewards screen pops up, how do I exit if I don’t want to participate with it?
  • Is there not away to kill the ads?

    By strikingloud
I remember now why I stopped playing for so many years now. Crappy UI and even worse, it’s hell to even try to play the game because ads take over the whole screen. I’ll pay to be able to play with friends but screw this with the ads.
  • Great game ... BUT ...

    By AZ_IZ
I have been very pleased with this app .... but the ads ... OMG help me PLEASE! Blaring incessant and ads meaningless to me ... I have looked but see no option to rid my app of those worthless intrusions on my ‘quiet time’ ... settings does not allow for removal ... as such and with NO option for relief we are looking for a new app that is not so ridiculously littered with ad time ... thus what would have been five stars is now reduced to three ...
  • Vowels

    By Doodahx
I wish there were a few mote useable consonants (L, M, P) and a few less vowels. Im tired of having 5 vowels and a “C” or a “V” on most every tile board.
  • How do I get rid of the ads?

    By emeraldc
How do I get rid of the ads? I may have to quit playing this if there isn’t and ad-free option. I just read part of a review saying the ads aren’t too bad. For me, any ad is one too many and none are ok.
  • Offense to my eyeballs

    By Doc Gee
I opened this “upgrade” once, despised the new glaring graphics, and went back to the old one. Now I get harassed to upgrade every time I open the version of the app I don’t hate. It won’t let me play until I download the new version, which I don’t want on my devices. If it actually forced me to use the new app I would be done with WWF.
  • Not able to connect with Facebook

    By Dsaucedo94
I've deleted and reinstalled multiple times and still doesn't connect. It seems there are a lot of bugs that have been coming up
