  • I need a refund!

    After getting hit by a car and being unable to use the app for my yearly subscription, I need a refund. I emailed - but I was unable to get any help. In fact I was told by Raechel that she “appreciated my situation.” Well I don’t appreciate the fact I was hit by a car. I’d much rather be working out with Kayla than have to go to PT and struggling to walk. Apparently Australians aren’t as hospitable as you’d think.
  • Straight to the punchline, money.

    I love Kayla itsines and I’ve done her bbg before with great results! But this app is wayyyyy to aggressive with money. Like, immediately upon creating an account a page pops up that asks you to pay for the subscription or give them your payment method for your free trial. And then it won’t let you leave the page unless you do. At least let me see what the app has to offer! Let me look around the homepage and see what workouts are available! Maybe even one free workout and one free meal from the meal plans. Just so I can try it out a little before trying pro. I mean EVERY other app does that. So why not you guys? Sorry, I’m not gonna give you my payment method without seeing what’s in the app at all. Especially with all the other reviews about the cancellation page.

    The content is amazing and efficient. The app it self needs much improvement. I still recommend this. This has pushed me beyond what I was doing at the gym/ home on my own.
  • Love it despite minor flaws

    The app is awesome especially with the integration with iwatch. Super convenient and takes the guesswork out of workout programming. Plus getting to track through your watch without having to constantly check your phone is just the best thing ever. The workouts are hard which is made evident by the heart rate monitor and calories burned on your watch which is also trackable though the app. Probably my two favorite features. That being said, there are a couple flaws in the app, which aren’t the end of the world but a little disappointing and are all related to using the app through the iwatch. For whatever reason HIIT workouts don’t “complete” like resistance workouts, once the timer is up you have to “skip” the workout to get credit as completed. If you press “end” workout it just stops and deletes all data with no credit. LISS workouts aren’t tracking heart rate like resistance or HIIT does. The heart rate icon is “active” on the bottom left but it’s not recording your HR and at the end of the LISS you will have zero calories burned. So to remedy this I will run LISS through the phone to get app credit but have Apple Activity app on my watch to track HR and calories. Once upon a time the Challenges worked well just like resistance workouts through the watch but after a few updates ago, now if you choose the weekly challenge through the watch, the countdown timer will count, once it gets to 0 to start, the app crashes and you are now in the app menu of the watch. So I run all Challenges through the phone to get app credit and run Apple Activity app on my watch to track HR/calories. I love that the app has the warmup feature, however you can only do this through the phone, warmup is not an option if you start the workout through the iwatch. Lastly, and this is probably the most minor complaint, I think it’s weird that if you do an extra LISS or HIIT than recommended it asks you to “redo” workout” why not just treat it like the others and add it to your weekly tally of workouts. Like I said, none of these things are deal breakers, I love the app, and I use it almost everyday. So worth the money, definitely better than using the PDF’s especially since you get so much more content. It’s awesome to have new workout content daily that you don’t have to think up on your own and keeps you from getting bored and burned out. These workouts are hard and will make you stronger. In one round 1.0 I lost 20lbs (keep in mind) diet and consistency is equally if not more important. This app will definitely help in getting you into the routine you have been struggling to achieve. Worth every penny.

    I don’t even use this app and they still charging me! I’m paying monthly for more than a year now! They don’t even notify or sending me emails! I only subscribed for the free trial and didn’t even notify me that they charging me already!!! I just realized coz apple sending me bill statement monthly!
  • Updates stink

    I love the workouts in this app. It’s easy to navigate and very helpful. But ever since the last two updates, which were supposed to fix bugs, I have had issues. During the workouts, only the exercise or number of reps is said on the trainer audio— it stopped saying both (“squats” or “15 reps” not “squats: 15 reps”. And with some moves, it doesn’t say anything at all! Before that, no matter what move I clicked in the sequence to get an explanation, it would only show the first in the series. I wish I could undo the updates :(

  • Too Many Crashes

    I love the workouts but I’ve only been using it for a week and I’ve seen the app crash a couple times and I lose my progress and there isn’t a easy way to get to place I was at without having to skip through all the sets/pyramids.

    I have been using this app for about 2 months now and am so glad that I finally decided to subscribe. I had been going back and forth weighing my options of whether it was worth it or not and I am without a doubt that it is definitely worth it. There is so much to this app that has helped me become so much healthier and happier. Using this app has actually guided me through a workout plan that is very well done and has helped me lose weight and keep it off. What attracted me most to the app was the weight training program called PWR and the daily meal plans. These have made such a huge difference to my internal and external health. They have a variety of meal plans and I am so happy that they have a Vegan plan that I absolutely love! There are some dishes I want to eat over and over again. Before this app I was struggling to eat healthy which is a huge reason I have struggled maintaining a fitness oriented lifestyle. The weight training and daily meals are definitely what sold it for me and convinced me that I need to keep this going. I would give it 5 stars but there are a few kinks that make the experience with the app a little less fluid than I would hope for. Nonetheless, these kinks in no way make me feel the app is not worth it. For example, meal planning. I have a hard time making healthy meals mostly because I don’t have a plan and end up doing something quick and too late. This app provides you with meal and snack options for every day of the week. What I have trouble with in this portion of the app is the metrics in the cooking directions and the shopping lists. I don’t ever intend on getting a food scale, but there is no other way to measure out ingredients that are listed in ounces. This is an extremely confusing part and I almost always end up making too much food or purchasing too much food for ingredients. If this would be changed that would be a huge plus. My only other hiccup is during the cool down phases after a workout. Pushing the forward arrow between every stretch makes it awkward and cuts into the time I should be stretching per body part. I feel like this one is different than the activation and superset phases. Since the stretching is done for a set time it should not require the forward arrow and should continuously count down and give a few seconds break between the next side or next stretch while an audio announces the transition. If those two things were changed then this app would be a complete and perfect 5 stars! I seriously love this app and know that the ladies involved love their work and keep updating this app to make it the best they can for us. No regrets!

    I’ve been using print outs of the BBG 1.0 program for 3 rounds and finally decided to splurge on the app. I’m really impressed and very happy with my experience so far. It’s much better at keeping me accountable and I love the layout of the work outs.
